The DBservices EQ business aligned function provides value add Oracle Database Administration services to a subset of the Equities business area within the Bank. The team is part of the larger Dbservices framework and as such must conform to Dbservices global standards and procedures. The work comprises all aspects of Oracle Database Administration with tasks including : * Working outside core business hours.* Setting up and resolving issues with Oracle DataGuard environments. * Building/upgrading instances, adhering to bank deployment and security standards. * Assisting application teams to resolve performance issues, coordinating with unix/storage teams when required. * Assisting application teams to utilise Oracle technologies to satisfy business and operational requirements. * Provide expert database knowledge for the teams customers. * Ability to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issues. * Proactive monitoring of the databases. |
