We are looking to strengthen our Risk Management Team which is responsible for a wide range of activities including computer systems support for the whole trading function, and applications are invited for the above role.
Primary duties include providing trading systems software support and development across a mixture of third-party and internally developed applications. The role embraces all aspects from analysis of Business/User requirements through actual provision, testing and continuing maintenance. The role also requires an in-depth knowledge of the data contained within the systems and the ability to extract, manipulate and report on that data.
The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following fields:
Analysing User Requirements
System / Application Design
Excel spreadsheets
Database design and access methods (ORACLE, SQL Server)
Application development with SQL Server 2005 SSIS/SSAS/SSRS
VBA and VB (.NET) ASP.NET
Whilst not essential, knowledge of Data Analysis techniques of Business/Financial Modelling using Excel would be an advantage.
Candidates must be highly numerate, possess analytical and computing skills with good communication and presentation abilities. You must be able to work under your own initiative and be a good team player. Interest in the application of computing solutions to real-world energy market issues is considered essential.
