Description |
• Reports to Electrical, Control & Instrumentation maintenance Section Head.
• Responsible for contributing to the development of strategies to maintain and improve the reliability and maintainability of plant.
• Responsible for the review and maintenance of the PRAD risk assessment data-base for the assigned area within the plant area.
• Responsible for leading or contributing to projects associated with the reliability and improvement of plant area equipment.
• Responsible for the development of solutions to defect repairs outside the day to day norm.
• Responsible for provision of technical support to the maintenance teams, when requested, to facilitate the completion of maintenance tasks.
• Responsible for diagnosing and engineering of Defect AR’s when technical input is needed by the Planning Group.
• Responsible for the thorough completion of work and databases associated with engineering changes due to obsolescence, defect reduction and other causes.
• Responsible for the specification of work, risk assessment, and supervision of contractor work when acting as Contract User (prev. Technical Officer).
• Responsible for maintaining a level of proficiency in relevant regulations pertaining to his/her area of responsibility and ensuring they are met / adhered to.
• Responsible for the management of maintenance budgets.
• Maintain the Engineering status document for plant areas/equipment
• Has sound knowledge & experience in the maintenance of Electrical & Railway Signaling systems
• Prepared to train/work towards achieving Safety Controller status.
• Able to work in an environment of continuous improvement, looking to identify causes of poor reliability, prioritising and progressing the solutions.
• Required to maintain good working relationships with other maintenance and station teams and groups.
• Should be knowledgeable and competent in the use of relevant Site IT systems such as PRISM. MCM and Data-port etc

• A minimum of five years experience in a skilled maintenance or engineering capacity qualified to a minimum level of HNC or better.
• Motivated with ability to communicate effectively
• Used to working to high standards of safety, environmental and housekeeping performance.
• Able to provide solutions to problems quickly and logically |
