An exceptional team leader, you’ll ensure the company’s Biomass Plant/Straw Pellet Plant is safe, clean and well run. It’s quite a responsibility. You’ll take accountability for plant, equipment and systems and will look to improve the commercial performance as well as the operational one.
It’s not for those who enjoy routine. You’ll prioritise defects, carry out regular plant inspections including SOS and QSA tours and will supervise, develop and appraise your team. Indeed, getting the best from them will be the key to your success and improving all aspects of the running of the Biomass Plant.
It’s clear from the number of people it touches, yours is a key role. You’ll be the contact with the maintenance and engineering teams on plant technical issues and the business development function about operational concerns. Building strong relationships with the process co-ordinator, maintenance supervisors and planning department are all part of the brief.
The essentials include an HNC, logistical, inventory and supervisory experience in a large production process-led sector. Milling or a feed industry would be ideal. But perhaps even more important is the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, commercial focus and the ability to think around problems, logically and quickly. |
