| Description |
The candidate will be a key member of the Business Development Analysis team reporting directly to the Commercial Analysis Manager.
The key role will be to deliver market analysis and lead the project of mapping the global supply and demand of biomass including understanding the renewable regulatory frameworks and their impact on the capacity to pay of the biomass users.
Key elements of the role will include researching the source market data, analysing it and interpreting and regularly reporting it to the project sponsor who is the Head of Biomass Procurement.
The role will also require the candidate to assist the senior financial analysts in the financial modelling of the biomass market and price data.

The candidate will be required to have a good degree or similar within a related discipline and will ideally have previous experience in a research and analytical discipline.
An understanding of research techniques and a genuine interest in the renewable energy market are required and the candidate must have excellent organisational, communication and project management skills.
A good understanding of MS Excel is desirable for quantitative analysis purposes and a good understanding of all other MS Office packages is a requirement for presentations and qualitative analysis.
An understanding of the Biomass Market and of the Commodity/Energy Trading environment is also desirable.
The candidate must be a self starter, committed and driven to deliver detailed analysis and be able to demonstrate good reporting and communication skills.
It is expected that the candidate will be able to prioritise work loads in order to be able to work on a number of different projects at the same time and work well within a project team environment.
The candidate will also need to be highly motivated and be able to work to demanding deadlines and adapt quickly to changing business needs, providing solutions to problems whilst gaining sign-on to change from all responsible persons.
