We set ourselves the highest standards of plant reliability and maintenance. You’ll develop strategies to maintain and improve the reliability of our plant, lead specific projects in this area, diagnose problems and manage contracts. It’s a wide and varied brief in an environment where continuous improvement is a way of life. As well as reviewing and updating our risk assessment database, you’ll build strong working relationships internally and externally. And that means being equally comfortable with contractors, suppliers, consultants and engineers. Clearly, it’s not for a newcomer to the maintenance world. You could join us from a heavy industry or a power station background. Either way, you’ll be a quick learner who has led and motivated maintenance teams and who holds, or is working towards, an HNC in Mechanical Engineering. Able to handle pressure effectively, you’ll be the consummate mechanical engineering professional and be able to deputise for the section head when necessary.

Technically, you’ll need knowledge of Maintenance IT systems. As importantly though, you must be able to drive every element of a project, adapt quickly to changing business needs, prioritise effectively, work well in a team and have a good business approach.
